Stephanie Young-Birkle is the senior assistant dean of student affairs at UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM), where she oversees the student experience and focuses on identifying, conceptualizing and managing strategic initiatives. Serving as a liaison between university administrators, campus partners, advisory boards, donors and industry partners, she builds crucial support for innovation. Internally, she leads cross-functional teams to implement new programs and orchestrate major activities and events.
She leads a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the school's reputation, including alumni relations, the lifelong learning platform, events management, and special projects. Her responsibilities extend from overseeing accreditation and rankings to monitoring the competitive landscape and trends in business education. She is also a member of the school’s senior leadership team
Since joining the GSM in 2014, Young-Birkle has held several positions, including most recently chief of staff and assistant dean of innovation, and interim senior assistant dean of student affairs. During her tenure, she successfully launched industry immersions, the Collaborative Leadership Program, and the UC Davis-Financial Times Biz Quiz. She is committed to driving meaningful change and ensuring that the GSM delivers on its promise to provide an exceptional experience for all stakeholders.
Young-Birkle holds a bachelor's degree from The College of Idaho and a master's degree in political science from UC Davis.
