Scholarships

Your MSBA represents a significant investment in your future. A variety of financial aid programs are available.

All candidates are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships based on their admissions application. Criteria include academic record (undergraduate record, GMAT/GRE), professional promise and focus. Details regarding scholarships are included in the official admissions offer letter.

Scholarships for Incoming Admitted Students

Dean’s Scholarships and MSBA Fellowships and Graduate School of Management Grants

up to $20,000

The Graduate School of Management offers limited awards based on merit. Factored into consideration are leadership experience, as well as academic and professional accomplishments. The Admissions Committee considers candidates for these awards at the time of admission.  No separate scholarship application is required. 

UC Native American Opportunity Plan

$14,520

The University of California Native American Opportunity Plan ensures that in-state systemwide Tuition and Student Services Fees are fully covered for California students in state supported academic programs who are also enrolled in federally recognized Native American, American Indian and Alaska Native tribes. 

The MSBA program is not state supported. However, the Graduate School of Management has committed to provide an equivalent financial aid program. Eligible MSBA students will receive at a minimum a combined financial aid scholarship of $14,520 to be allocated over the course of their program. Students must submit the eligibility affidavit and documentation on the UC Davis Financial Aid and Scholarships to confirm eligibility. Military Service Award

$6,000

The Graduate School of Management (GSM) supports members of the U.S. armed forces as they make a transition to the civilian workforce or return to service.

The program has committed to awarding up to $6,000 for tuition expenses not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill to up to two eligible MSBA students.

SIEML Alumni Award

Alumni of Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (SIEML) who have completed the program within the past seven years are eligible for this award. 

If admitted, a total of 44 unit fees* for the MSBA program will be covered by the Graduate School of Management. The scholarship is applied throughout the duration of the program.

There is no separate application. Simply indicate your SIEML participation on your MBA application. The admissions committee will verify eligibility, and award details will be included in your offer letter. 

Note: If you already receive a scholarship package exceeding this amount, no additional funds will be awarded.

California Leadership Institute (CaLI) Program Alumni

$10,000

CaLI alumni are eligible for this award if they are admitted into the Master of Science in Business Analytics  program. Eligible MSBA students will receive $10,000 in scholarship funding.

UC and CSU Alumni Grant

up to $9,000

The UC and CSU Alumni Fellowship is for applicants who have received their undergraduate from a University of California or California State University campus. The Admissions Committee considers candidates for these awards at the time of admission. No separate scholarship application is required.

Student Analyst Position

up to $9,750

Graduate Student Analysts (GSAs) play a key role in shaping the MSBA experience, both for the current cohort and future classes.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the program’s executive and academic directors on initiatives that support:

  • Student experience
  • Program outreach
  • Market intelligence and analytics

Some GSA positions may be awarded during the admissions process. All students will have the opportunity to apply after matriculation.

Immediate Family Member Scholarship

$25,000-$60,000*

In recognition of the service given to the people of California, the Graduate School of Management is piloting a scholarship program available to UC Davis, UCOP, UCANR, UC Law, UCSF, LLNL or LBNL immediate family members (spouse, legal domestic partner, biological or adopted child, or stepchild).

Scholarships can be used for the Full-Time MBA, Bay Area Part-Time MBA, Sacramento Part-Time MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy, Master of Science in Business Analytics or the in-person Master of Management programs. Learn more.
