Fee Remission for Academic Student Employees

2025-2026 Fee Remission

Teaching assistant appointments of 25% or higher receive a partial fee remission,* except for courses taken in Summer Sessions/quarter.**

Teaching assistants appointed to Summer Sessions are appointed by the Office of Summer Sessions. There is no fee remission offered to any academic student appointment during the summer.

*Fee remission includes education and registration fees as well as health insurance.
**The salary and fee remission amounts are subject to change without notice.

Example

A full-time graduate student enrolled at the Graduate School of Management with a 25% TA appointment can expect to receive the following:

  • Salary: $5,893.35 per quarter
  • Fee remission: $5,128.40 per quarter
  • Health: $2,732.13 ($68.13 if waiving out of health insurance) per quarter

Teaching Assistant Positions for Undergraduate Tech Minor Courses

Job Description
