Flex MBA Admissions Overview

We recognize the incredible opportunities and challenges in the world today, and we admire your decision to invest in yourself and your future. As you embark on this journey, our MBA admissions team is here to support and guide you every step of the way from the application process to the start of classes.

Who We Look For

We select applicants whose demonstrated leadership, intellectual capacity, global perspective, academic background and professional experience have prepared them to meet the rigors of our MBA program and an impactful career.

  • To be considered for admission, you must hold a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or the international equivalent. To determine if your degree program meets our requirements, review the expected level of study for international students.
  • The Admissions Committee evaluates your academic potential, professional promise and personal qualities. These factors are not listed in order of importance, and we look at each candidate individually.
  • As a STEM-designated MBA program, we expect students to be prepared for quantitative coursework and data-driven analysis. For more information, please review our Quantitative Preparation for MBA and Master of Management Students page.

We aim to assemble a class of students who will bring diverse perspectives to the learning environment.

On August 24, 2026, the U.S. government Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control suspended several general licenses allowing services related to Iran and individuals in Iran. Specifically, General License G, which had allowed U.S. colleges and universities to provide certain educational services to people in Iran. Because of this change, the University of California is no longer able to file or process applications, accept application fees or tuition payments, or provide certain educational services to individuals who:

  • are currently located in Iran; or
  • are outside Iran but ordinarily live in Iran.

These restrictions apply even if an individual has already started the application process.
