Enhancing the value of the GSM student experience by enriching student’s financial education. The Finance Association provides a framework for incorporating finance topics into the GSM, networking with alumni and coordinating extracurricular events.
Mission Statement
The GSM Finance Association aims to spread awareness of financial literacy and related finance topics to the GSM student body and staff. Our goal is to partner with alumni, faculty, subject matter experts, and other student organizations to provide the tools and resources needed to be influential leaders and decision-makers. In addition, we plan to coordinate extracurricular activities that enhance student knowledge across various financial topics. A hands-on educational approach will allow students to discuss, interact with finance professionals, and learn about investing from a long-term perspective.
Meet Our Board
Daniel Menoncin
Co-President
Daniel Menoncin has more than a decade of international experience in finance, project management and contract negotiations across the oil and gas, automotive and industrial sectors. He currently manages capital projects exceeding $200 million with full P&L responsibility and holds a PMP certification.
Menoncin is passionate about capital markets, institutional investing and alternative assets, with a particular interest in fintech and bridging traditional finance with emerging technologies such as digital assets.
Beyond work and academics, he enjoys soccer, tennis and board sports, and regularly participates in volunteering programs.
Mitchell Dixon
Vice President
Mitchell Dixon has a background in real estate finance and private equity research with a focused interest in private equity secondary markets. He is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive finance community for students exploring careers in the industry.
Outside the classroom, Dixon is also a student-athlete on the university’s football team and enjoys golfing in his free time.
