Meet Our Board
Terrence Nguyen
President
Born in San Jose and raised in San Ysidro, a border town in San Diego, Terrence Nguyen brings a diverse perspective shaped by two vibrant California communities. He has a background in healthcare operations and administration, with experience supporting patient care teams, managing clinical workflows and contributing to service improvements at large academic medical centers. His long-term goal is to lead healthcare organizations that deliver high-quality, patient-centered and equitable care, with aspirations to one day open his own clinic focused on expanding access for underserved populations.
Outside of work, Nguyen enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, lifting weights and spending time with family and friends.
Natalie Webster
Director of Programming
Natalie Webster has a background in program management and health equity, with experience leading projects that improve access to care and support underserved communities. She is especially interested in building healthcare programs that take a whole-person approach and reduce barriers to resources. Her long-term goal is to lead initiatives that make healthcare more equitable, effective and responsive to community needs.
As director of programming for the Healthcare Council, Webster focuses on creating engaging events that connect students with leaders in the field and spark practical conversations about the challenges and opportunities shaping healthcare today.
Outside of her professional work, Webster enjoys traveling, cooking new foods, reading and spending time with her two cats—plus the many foster cats that rotate through her home.
Richard Babcock
Director of Membership
Richard Babcock serves as director of membership for the UC Davis GSM Healthcare Council. In this role, he is committed to fostering an inclusive community, enhancing member engagement and driving strategic growth initiatives.
He brings a proven track record of operational excellence, having successfully managed high-volume retail pharmacy operations. His analytical problem-solving skills and structured approach to leadership enable him to develop effective strategies for membership retention, satisfaction and expansion.
As director of membership, Babcock is dedicated to empowering healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and supporting initiatives that advance healthcare innovation.
Varsha Yelamanchi
Director of Marketing
Varsha holds a Master's degree in Pharmacy and is currently pursuing a full-time MBA focused on Human Resources and Strategy. She has significant experience in HR Operations and Talent Acquisition within the recruitment industry. Passionate about advocating for women's and children's health, Varsha has volunteered with a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to underprivileged women and children.
As the Marketing Director for the Healthcare Council (HCC), she aims to increase awareness of the healthcare industry and its opportunities, encouraging broader community involvement. At GSM, Varsha holds leadership positions as President of the Associated Students of Management (ASM) and Ambassador of Biotechnology for the Full-Time MBA Program. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, cooking, reading, and traveling.
