Christina Sanchez

Senior Director, Project & Instructional Resources

With more than 29 years of experience in higher education administration, Sanchez serves as senior director of Project and Instructional Resources, overseeing instructional and safety operations for the school. She leads strategic planning and operational initiatives that support students, faculty and staff, and plays a key role in advancing organizational effectiveness across multiple campuses. Her work includes directing complex projects and managing operations and facilities for teaching locations in Davis, Sacramento, San Ramon and San Francisco.

Sanchez serves as co-lead of Inclusive Champions, advancing initiatives that strengthen engagement and collaboration among students, faculty and staff at the Graduate School of Management (GSM). She also serves as the GSM liaison to the campus IDARE (Inclusion, Diversity, Anti-Racism, and Equity) committee and previously served as a campus harassment and discrimination advisor. Through these roles, she has broadened institutional efforts to foster an inclusive and supportive campus community.

Her leadership has been widely recognized by faculty and staff. She received the UC Davis Chancellor’s Citation of Excellence for outstanding service to the university, along with four departmental Star Awards recognizing her contributions to Executive Education (2020), leadership and teamwork during COVID safety operations (2021), helping others to succeed (2022) and leadership during GSM’s transition to Aggie Square (2025).

Sanchez earned a B.A. in Chicana/o studies with a minor in sociology from the University of California, Davis, and an M.A. in education with an emphasis in higher education leadership from California State University, Sacramento. Her graduate research examined leadership behaviors and their impact on cultivating cultures of trust within higher education. She is also certified in Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt.
